DPVR Announces P1 Max Enterprise VR Headset Timeline
DPVR has announced pricing and a commercial availability timeline for its P1 Max enterprise standalone virtual reality headset, with sample and test orders open to enterprise customers in November. The headset, first announced last year, is designed for commercial deployments requiring high performance, reliability and customisation flexibility.
DPVR said the P1 Max combines powerful computing capabilities, high-resolution display technology, enhanced thermal management and enterprise-focused design features to support large-scale VR deployments. The headset is intended for organisations operating VR solutions at scale, with professional applications spanning education, healthcare, industrial training, simulation, exhibitions and location-based entertainment.
The P1 Max is equipped with the Qualcomm Snapdragon XR2 platform and supports up to 8K video decoding. DPVR said this supports smooth playback of high-quality immersive content and enables organisations to deliver detailed VR experiences for professional training, simulation, digital learning and immersive media applications.
The headset features a 3664 × 1920 resolution display. DPVR said the display provides clear and high-resolution visuals for applications where image accuracy and readability are critical. The company also said the high-resolution display helps improve user involvement and visual quality across technical training environments and immersive entertainment experiences.
DPVR said enterprise VR deployments can require extended operating hours, with multiple devices running simultaneously. The P1 Max addresses this through an active dual-vent cooling design and an optimised airflow structure. According to the company, the system improves cooling efficiency by up to 50 per cent compared with previous designs. It helps maintain stable performance during intensive use in settings such as VR training facilities and commercial VR installations.
The P1 Max also has an optional top-mounted DC power input that allows a stable external power supply to be used. DPVR said this supports continuous operation in commercial locations. The headset is also compatible with reinforced steel-sleeved cables designed for places where durability and frequent usage are required, including VR arcades, exhibitions and training facilities.
DPVR has positioned the P1 Max as an adaptable enterprise VR platform rather than a standard consumer headset. A dedicated Type-C expansion interface enables the integration of additional modules, including an eye-tracking module that the company said will be available as a future accessory.
The headset also supports OEM customisation across hardware specifications, industrial design and branding elements. Businesses can also tailor boot animation and startup settings, the user interface, firmware, and software and application integration to meet their business requirements.
DPVR said the P1 Max is priced at USD 549 for the standard version and USD 799 for the eye-tracking version. The headset is currently in its final production phase.
The company will begin accepting sample and test orders from enterprise customers in November. These orders will support compatibility testing and pilot projects, with general shipping to follow.
Customers will be able to order the P1 Max directly through DPVR’s sales team or through its distributors.
