Apple introduces VisionOS 2 and announces availability of Vision Pro outside the US
It has been recently disclosed by Apple that the Vision Pro virtual reality headset, which retails for $3499, would be made available for purchase in international markets beginning on June 28. When pre-orders for Vision Pro begin on June 13, the first countries outside of the United States to receive the product will be China, Japan, and Singapore. The next countries to receive the product are Germany, France, Australia, the United Kingdom, and Canada. Pre-orders for the latest version of the gadget will begin on June 28 and sales will begin on July 12.
Incidentally, the manufacture of the Vision Pro was recently cut by Apple as a result of low demand conditions. The value of the headset on the secondary market has significantly fallen, and it is now possible to readily find it on eBay for a price reduction of at least one thousand dollars per unit. Increasing one’s presence in international marketplaces ought to result in improvements for this product range from the tech giant.
In addition to this, Apple introduced VisionOS 2, which is an improved version of its much-famed Vision Pro operating system. Apple has recently released an update to its Photos app, which enables users to create spatial photos from normal images with the simple push of a button for the first time. There is now a train mode available for a trip that involves an airplane. These are some of the most recent noteworthy developments from the company’s end.
The tech behemoth has also made many enhancements to the virtual display feature on the Mac. As a result, it now has the capability to simulate two 4K panels and incorporates a new virtual ultra-wide display option. The display unfolds in a way similar to that of a curved ultrawide monitor. It is now possible to use Spatial Personas to share the VisionOS Photos app with another Vision Pro owner thanks to the inclusion of SharePlay in the VisionOS Photos app of VisionOS.
Additionally, according to Apple, Canon will be launching a new spatial lens for the EOS R7 that is intended especially for video creators that utilise the Vision Pro programme. It has been reported by the startup that it would be releasing its first immersive video on the platform, in addition to a screenplay.
Apple’s efforts in the virtual reality software and hardware space are expected to continue in the near future. What innovation it comes up with next is something the global tech community is excited to know.
