$4.25 million secured by Eggscape Entertainment for MR games
The $4.25 million seed round headed by Transcend Fund, with noteworthy participation from The Venture Reality Fund and tactical angel financier Lautaro Brunatti, was completed, according to Eggscape Entertainment, a new gaming company focusing on building social games for MR. The innovative MR game Eggscape, which has received early plaudits from the press and SXSW and GDC participants, and won other festival honours, notably a Lion at La Biennale di Venezia, will benefit greatly from this investment.
The creative geniuses behind Buenos Aires, Argentina’s 3DAR, an animation powerhouse, have launched a new company called Eggscape Entertainment. With over ten years of expertise producing immersive VR experiences including Gloomy Eyes with Colin Farrell and Paper Birds with Edward Norton, they are best known for Little Dicky’s viral song video EARTH. German Heller, Federico Heller, and Jorge Tereso, the co-founders, are determined to provide players with a brand-new genre of mixed reality games. Brandon Maseda, a seasoned startup veteran who has built ground-breaking consumer experiences with novel hardware technologies, joined the Eggscape team recently.
Eggscape is intended to be a lighthearted and communal game where users may explore lively, dynamic settings that are incorporated into the actual world. Aside from humour and thrilling action, the game is enjoyable for players of all ages.
