TCL Brings RayNeo Air 3s Pro AR glasses to Global Market
TCL has expanded the reach of its RayNeo Air 3s Pro augmented reality glasses by launching them worldwide, following their initial debut in China this year. The device has been designed to act as an external monitor for any USB-C compatible device, aiming to provide users with an immersive big-screen experience without the inconvenience of carrying a television or projector.
The Air 3s Pro integrates dual HueView 2.0 tandem micro-OLED displays capable of reaching peak brightness levels of 1,200 nits. TCL has stated that this figure makes them the brightest AR glasses currently available. With a 46-degree field of view, a contrast ratio of 200,000:1, and colour accuracy covering 145 per cent of the sRGB spectrum along with 98 per cent of the DCI-P3 gamut, the glasses are positioned as a high-performance wearable display.
The company has compared the overall viewing experience to that of watching a 201-inch IMAX screen from a distance of six metres. To enhance user control, the Air 3s Pro incorporates six different viewing modes, 3,840Hz high-frequency pulse width modulation dimming, and 20 adjustable brightness levels. These additions have been introduced to ensure comfortable, prolonged usage for a wide variety of entertainment formats, ranging from films to gaming sessions. The glasses also stand out as the only wearable display currently available with TÜV SÜD dual certification for both Low Blue Light and Flicker-Free performance, a feature intended to minimise eye strain during extended periods of use.
Audio has been given equal attention. TCL has equipped the Air 3s Pro with a quad-speaker system developed in-house, which is supported by spatial audio algorithms. This arrangement allows the sound to shift dynamically in response to the user’s head movements, creating a surround sound effect often described as cinema-grade. The device also includes a Whisper Mode, a function that directs sound more directly towards the user’s ears to maintain privacy in public environments.
Weighing just 76 grams, the glasses are light enough to be worn for extended stretches without discomfort. TCL has focused on ergonomic design by implementing balanced weight distribution across the frame, nine adjustable temple levels, and customised nose pads. These considerations have been presented as key factors in ensuring that the Air 3s Pro can comfortably accommodate a wide range of head shapes and sizes worldwide.
Compatibility with other devices has been prioritised to widen its appeal. The Air 3s Pro can connect to PCs and modern gaming consoles, including Xbox, PlayStation via HDMI adapter, and Nintendo Switch, with support also extended to the upcoming Switch 2. Handheld gaming systems, iPhones, and Android smartphones are also compatible, broadening the potential use cases of the glasses beyond entertainment into productivity and mobile applications.
The global retail price has been set at $299, though TCL is currently offering a $50 discount, bringing the cost down to $249. Availability spans Amazon and the official RayNeo website, with both platforms already beginning to ship outstanding orders. Deliveries are expected to take place between 1 and 2 September, ensuring that early adopters will receive their devices promptly.
By positioning the RayNeo Air 3s Pro as a lightweight, adaptable, and high-performance wearable, TCL is seeking to attract consumers who value large-screen entertainment and flexibility without the bulk of traditional home devices. The global launch signals the company’s intention to compete more aggressively in the growing AR wearables market.
