Lenovo Unveils Enterprise VR Offering ThinkReality VRX

The ThinkReality VRX headset has the ability to function independently as its own device.

In a select number of locales, the much-anticipated ThinkReality VRX virtual reality (VR) headgear from Lenovo will soon be made available. This cutting-edge virtual reality headset is ideal for use in professional settings because it operates on the Android 12 platform, which is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon XR2+ Gen 1 processor.

Because it can be used on its own or as a connected or wireless add-on, the ThinkReality VRX headset offers a high degree of versatility.

Because of its streamlined and space-saving design, the device has earned Lenovo’s praise for its ability to provide users with a higher level of satisfaction despite prolonged use. The addition of 6 degrees of freedom allows for a more lifelike experience within virtual reality. It is helpful in a variety of simulated situations for the headset to be able to send across photographs with a high resolution and vivid colours.

The ThinkReality VRX features an incredible picture resolution of 2280 x 2280 for each eye and a display refresh rate that falls somewhere in the range of 70-90 Hz. It also comes standard with 12 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage space.

The immersive experience is enhanced by a wide field of view of 95 degrees, a 3.5mm audio port, two recording devices, built-in speakers, and a total of two recording devices. Additionally, the device has 6DoF controls, hand tracking functionality, and practical controls on the headgear. The ThinkReality VRX uses a large 6,900mAh cell for powering these capabilities, which customers may recharge via USB-C.

Lenovo’s ThinkReality VRX headgear has pancake optics that are placed on top of one another, similar to the Meta Quest Pro. It also has a complex ventilation mechanism that efficiently removes steam from the face of the person wearing it.

Lenovo provides ThinkReality xR Services, a complete set of XR technologies that comprises a cloud infrastructure for international application distribution and administration, along with the required equipment. These services encompass all aspects of client assistance, from developing a plan to providing the product.

In addition to the ThinkReality A3 AR spectacles, which were introduced to the market not too long ago at MWC 2023, the ThinkReality VRX headgear is the most recent accessory to be added to Lenovo’s collection of professional XR products.

This month, the ThinkReality VRX will become available for purchase in select retail locations, with prices starting at $1,299.

With the launch of the ThinkReality VRX, Lenovo intends to revolutionise the way virtual reality is used in the workplace by providing businesses with a powerful instrument that can be used for realistic modelling, education, and collaborative efforts.

Lenovo’s dedication to breaking ground in the business domain as the field of VR develops solidifies its standing as the market’s dominant player.
