RayNeo Showcases Next-Generation AR Glasses at IFA 2026

RayNeo showcased its latest spatial computing products at IFA 2026, marking the international media debut and first hands-on demonstrations of the RayNeo iO Smart Glasses and RayNeo GT Series. The company’s latest consumer augmented reality (AR) glasses were presented in Hall 21A, with contributions from Dolby Laboratories and Bang & Olufsen focused on visual and audio experiences in lightweight wearable devices.

The IFA event followed RayNeo’s global announcement on 21 August and moved beyond product specifications to show how the new glasses could be used in everyday situations. Demonstrations centred on two main applications: lightweight, glanceable artificial intelligence assistance for productivity, and a private cinematic display for entertainment, gaming and travel.

Max, RayNeo’s North America Marketing Manager, demonstrated how the GT Series combines a cinematic personal display with Dolby Vision playback and audio co-tuned with Bang & Olufsen. River, RayNeo’s Head of Industrial Design, explained how the team integrated a near-eye display into the iO’s lightweight frame, which was designed for comfortable daily wear.

The RayNeo GT Max and RayNeo iO Smart Glasses were also named Honourees of the IFA Innovation Awards 2026. The recognition was presented alongside the company’s latest generation of AR products at the event and highlighted the innovation associated with the two products.

When paired with the RayNeo Pocket TV Pro, the RayNeo GT Series supports Dolby Vision playback. Dolby Vision is described as a picture technology that goes beyond HDR by dynamically optimising image quality. It can produce richer colours and brighter contrasts while revealing details that could otherwise be lost without the technology. With the RayNeo GT Series and RayNeo Pocket TV Pro, compatible content can be viewed in Dolby Vision on major streaming platforms.

The GT Series also supports real-time AI SDR-to-HDR conversion. The feature enhances compatible standard dynamic range content to provide a more vivid viewing experience.

RayNeo and Bang & Olufsen also expanded their collaboration on the GT Series following their work together on the RayNeo Air 4 Pro in 2025. Bang & Olufsen’s acoustic engineers first established a baseline measurement of the device, then refined its sound through objective measurements and professional listening tests.

The tuning process focused on the challenge of producing convincing bass without compromising clarity in a compact AR glasses form factor. The resulting sound profile improves low-frequency performance and creates a smoother, more natural midrange. The final tuning is intended to provide fuller, more balanced audio for films, music, and games.

Media also tested the RayNeo iO Smart Glasses in real-time productivity scenarios. Weighing 33 grams, the glasses use a discreet heads-up display that presents information in the user’s line of sight. The design means users do not have to look down at another screen constantly.

Through its glanceable Dashboard, the iO can display everyday information including schedules, weather, navigation cues and smartphone notifications. The feature is intended to keep users informed while they remain focused on the task or conversation at hand.

The glasses also support live captions and multilingual translation, hands-free teleprompting, and voice recording with AI-generated summaries. Users can switch between supported large language models for different tasks. Subtle head-gesture controls provide another way to interact with the glasses without disrupting the moment.

RayNeo also highlighted rankings from several market research firms. Counterpoint Research ranked the company No. 1 globally in AR glasses shipments in the first half of 2026. IDC ranked RayNeo No. 1 in AR glasses shipments both globally and in China.

The RayNeo iO, RayNeo GT, and RayNeo GT Max were available for hands-on demonstrations and executive interviews in Hall 21A throughout IFA 2026, which runs from 4 to 8 September.

Retail sales began on 4 September 2026 through the RayNeo official store and Amazon. Distribution covers 40 countries and regions, including the European Union, the United Kingdom, the United States, Canada, Mexico, Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, Vietnam, Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Australia, New Zealand and Japan.
