VR entertainment destination Mirra opening soon in Bellevue
The first Mirra site, a virtual reality entertainment firm, will launch in Bellevue, Washington, in August.
Visitors at Mirra, a social entertainment venue, may spend up to an hour playing a variety of unusual virtual reality activities. It is relocating as part of the Bellevue Collection development to a 10,700 square foot third-floor location at Lincoln Square South.
The location elevates the party game idea to unprecedented levels, said Sam Wang, the creator of Mirra, in a press statement. They are combining a thriving social scene with VR technology to create events that will be remembered forever.
In 2020, Wang established Mirra in Bellevue. Previously, he co-founded the VR firm Skylimit Entertainment Group and worked as general manager at the visual effects studio Phenom Films, both in Beijing.
Visitors to Mirra may engage in a range of VR games that the firm has created internally, with an emphasis on party games suitable for players of all skill levels. Although the games are meant for adults, families with kids may still enjoy them.
To play any particular game at Mirra, a single player puts on a VR headset. Their activities as they play are sent to a neighbouring massive 8K LED screen wall via a holographic avatar.
Each game is designed to be both engaging for players and entertaining for those who are still in real life to watch on the large screen. Dancing, hockey, treasure hunts, and a host of other activities presented in a game show style are all part of Mirra’s debut programme.
Apart from virtual reality gaming, Mirra offers a fully equipped restaurant and bar, interactive amenities for guests, and 8K LED displays that showcase various settings.
As of right now, Mirra is scheduled to be an all-ages venue till six o’clock. It then changes to a nightclub for those over 21 till it shuts at midnight.
GeekWire has contacted Mirra to inquire more about the location; we will provide an update as soon as we get a response.
