High5VR launches VR meeting rooms and live partner scheme
High5VR has launched OowOah VR Meeting Rooms, introduced Quantum Leap and opened applications for the OowOah Live VR Founding Test Partner Programme, denoting a further stage in its work on immersive business collaboration and live VR event streaming.
OowOah VR Meeting Rooms are designed as an immersive alternative to conventional video conferencing. Rather than joining a standard video call, participants enter shared virtual spaces and collaborate as avatars. The platform uses spatial audio, supports presentations on large virtual screens, and is designed to let people work together in a setting that reflects a physical meeting room.
The platform also includes AI Meeting Notes, private notes emailed after meetings, meeting recording tools, presentation tools, and branded online meeting rooms. High5VR presents these functions as part of a system designed to make online collaboration more interactive and productive. The service is positioned for businesses that want a different format from the familiar grid of video tiles and screen shares that dominate remote meetings.
Quantum Leap has been launched alongside the meeting platform. High5VR describes it as a first-person VR experience that lets viewers see the world through another person’s eyes. The company has linked the experience to workplace training, property tours, engineering demonstrations, manufacturing, coaching and tourism. In each of those settings, Quantum Leap places the audience at the centre of the experience, with the aim of creating greater engagement than a conventional video presentation.
High5VR has also begun development of OowOah Live VR. This platform is intended for speakers, trainers, coaches and event organisers who want to broadcast real-world seminars, conferences, product launches and other live events through professional 180° and 360° VR filming. Instead of watching a standard livestream, audiences can put on a VR headset and experience the event as though they are sitting in the room.
The company is supplying the filming and streaming technology needed for the live VR broadcasts, allowing organisers to focus on the event itself while it is captured and transmitted in immersive form. The platform is also being developed to support VR ticket sales alongside on-site attendance. High5VR says it will broaden its audience reach, increase sponsorship opportunities, and generate additional revenue through on-demand recordings of events.
Applications are now open for a select group of Founding Test Partners. High5VR is seeking speakers, trainers, coaches and event organisers who want early access to OowOah Live VR and who are willing to help shape the platform before its public launch. The selected partners will work directly with the development team, test new features and be among the first to deliver live immersive VR events to audiences around the world.
Rob Steadman is chief operating officer at High5VR. High5VR said the new tools bring together immersive meetings, first-person experiences and live VR broadcasting to support the way organisations communicate, train and engage audiences.
