Viveport Will Launch its Own NFT Marketplace Vive Bytes Next Month

The inaugural sales event of Vive Bytes will feature exclusive content from the Step into Cat Art Online Exhibition.

Following the footsteps of the tech giants like Meta, Google, and Microsoft, the leading innovator HTC too is striving to expand its own metaverse. As part of the effort, HTC recently announced that the company is going to launch Vive Bytes- the brand-new marketplace specilising in NFTs themed after cartoons, games, anime, and so much more. The marketplace will be available via Viveport— HTC’s content platform and it will be open for the public from February 2022. In this unique digital store, consumers can buy exclusive NFTs as well as NFT Mystery Boxes using cryptocurrencies and modern fiat. The platform also allows consumers to add MetaMask wallets to their accounts for making a purchase. In the future, Vive Bytes also plan to introduce auction features in their platform.

The inaugural sales event of Vive Bytes will feature exclusive NFT items from the much-hyped Step into Cat Art Online Exhibition recently hosted on Viveport. Opened for the public till May 31, 2022, this digital art exhibition showcases seven rooms featuring seven cat art, namely The Hisstine Chapel, The Kitty with the Pearl earring, Mewna Lisa, Daily Life Common Cats, and Cat Art. These artworks can be accessed by the general public via any smartphone, computer, or VR device. In addition to these seven rooms, the online exhibition also features several other secret chambers for the viewers to explore.

In the first wave of Vive Bytes Sales visitors can claim ownership of various 2D and 3D CAT ART by acclaimed Japanese digital artist Shu Yamamoto. The collection will also contain his famous ceiling painting The Hisstine Chapel. However, this particular piece of digital art can only be claimed through participating in a collection of “Collect to Unlock” NFT Mystery Box special events. Any visitor who bought a 2D Cat Art piece will be given the chance to acquire a limited-edition 3D Cat Art model NFT in the following period.

Joseph Lin, General Manager of Viveport expressed his thoughts on NFTs during the launch of Vive Bytes. He said that in the coming years, NFT will revolutionise the way we think about ownership and identity, especially with regard to art. Keeping up with the recent trends, Vive Bytes will serve at the forefront of unleashing the immense potential of creating and making digital works more accessible for creators and consumers worldwide. The success of the Cat Art Online Exhibition has proved the point, remarked Lin. He said that collaborating with the partners, Viveport is now delivering a unique collection of Cat Art NFTs and empowering its consumers to diversify and grow their digital art collection.

This, however, is not HTC’s first foray into digital art or NFTs. Back in December 2021, the company also sold NFTs of Art Nouveau masterpieces created by Czech digital artist Alphonse Mucha as part of its Viverse Strategy via the Vive Arts marketplace. The Vive Bytes, as stated by the company, is going to be the next step of their expanding metaverse and efforts in building the NFT marketplace.

Vive Bytes will be open for the public around the second week of February this year.
