VR business in Cyprus making waves in maritime industry

A virtual reality (VR) and augmented reality (AR) software firm based in Cyprus is developing game-changing emerging innovations that promise to revolutionise how professional training is provided. Ascanio, a portfolio firm of Kinisis Ventures Fund I, recently made an announcement on the establishment of Ascanio Maritime, a joint venture with Fameline Holding Group, a worldwide powerhouse in the maritime and shipping business.

The point where digital aspects and real components meet is known as the intersection of mixed reality (MR), which combines the actual environment with digital things that may be interacted with. Ascanio has created mixed-reality training solutions by bringing radical modern software to mission-critical and high-stakes roles. These solutions represent a significant step forward in the development of both conventional and virtual forms of training. Their goal is to make significant strides forward in the field of education and ultimately establish themselves as the industry standard.

The statement says in the field of shipping, Ascanio Maritime will employ the most recent software as a service (SaaS) innovation, including mixed reality, to provide services that are both groundbreaking and progressive in character. These services include remote monitoring and help.

Ascanio CEO George Tziazas remarked this huge cooperation with Fameline is something of which we are incredibly proud of. We are pleased and prepared to collaborate with our wonderful collaborators to provide software products that will be revolutionary for both the business and the region.

Our partnership with our colleagues at Fameline developed quickly as a consequence of our initial connection and common objective, which enabled us to begin implementing and upsetting the industry, according to Minas Kyriakou, the Chief Technology Officer of Ascanio.

In order to establish a scalable, novel, efficient, and, most significantly, secure way for experts to train, Ascanio created an application that integrates actual settings with digital content. This method can be applied to training simulations ranging from those used in the military to those employed in the maritime sector to simulate construction equipment and edge effects. With the assistance of the Kinisis Ventures Fund, Ascanio and Fameline have decided to collaborate in order to develop anything completely original.

The Fameline Holding Group was established in the year 1989. It is a collection of firms that have worldwide activities in a variety of sectors, particularly in the marine, satellite communication, and oil and gas industries, with a rising interest in the healthcare and information and communications technology (ICT) industries. The main office of the corporation may be found in Cyprus, and it also has locations in Limassol, Groningen, Dubai, Piraeus, Shanghai, Hamburg, Riga, Rotterdam, Monaco, Odessa,  Abu Dhabi, Basra, and Singapore.

Ascanio Maritime will have a presence at the offices of Fameline located in Limassol in addition to having offices in Nicosia. The team plans to first begin providing its training modules after completing its mixed-reality (MR) remote monitoring and help modules, which they hope to do within the next several months.

The first private equity fund established with CySEC that exclusively supports Cypriot entrepreneurs is called the KV Kinisis Ventures Fund I.

In addition to having offices in Nicosia, Ascanio Maritime will also be present in Fameline’s Limassol offices. Within a few months, the team hopes to finish providing its mixed-reality remote monitoring & help modules before beginning to distribute its training modules.
