Season 1 of Multiplayer AR Mobile Game Jadu AR Launches

Jadu season 1
Jadu AR releases the first season of their AR mobile multiplayer game

The first season of Jadu AR, a multiplayer mobile combat game that combines the virtual and real worlds using augmented reality (AR), is now available.

The game, called Jadu, can be downloaded for free right now on Google Play for Android smartphones and the App Store for iPhones and iPads.

Season 1 expands on the game’s first release in October 2023 by presenting players with a wider universe of cinematic adventures and heroic heroes with unique combat techniques.

Asad J. Malik, CEO of Jadu AR, said in an interview with GamesBeat that since its debut, Jadu has shown great early engagement with over 790,000 matches played by 250,000 players, earning 4.9 ratings on the App Store.

According to Malik, the game has evolved from its early proof-of-concept stage, which let users engage in augmented reality fighting on their phones, to a dynamic journey with several levels, heroic characters, a sizable item store, and skill advancement.

One AR battle at a time, participants in Season 1 will traverse a supermax jail that has been brought to life in their room. The actual area changes with jail cells built into the walls, endless elevators, and elemental research laboratories while the player’s avatar fights against imperial robot guards with ever-more-dangerous assaults.

With Jadu’s approach to augmented reality, users may manipulate their avatars from a third-person viewpoint, which greatly improves gameplay comfort over first-person AR experiences.

Jadu offers users the full power of their smartphone by using contemporary smartphones that include quick networking, high-resolution cameras, and LiDAR sensors. To develop dynamic game worlds that overlay in the player’s surroundings for an immersive gaming experience, Jadu makes the most of these characteristics.

According to Malik, the business has spatial gameplay that feels realistic and engaging without compromising on size or accessibility after years of iteration. He continued by saying that when the character ideas were discussed among the remote team, everyone agreed that a universe fit for the medium was going to be created. Malik claims that the core of Season 1 is the thrill of exploration contained inside a video game.

The single-player campaign opens up as the game starts and serves to introduce the player to the game’s fundamentals. In the campaign mode, there are five isolmetric levels to complete. You go through a facility and battle several robots. The AR then moves inside one’s room, where it becomes a three-dimensional area. Things begin to materialise in that space. In one’s chamber, they must battle adversaries by using a shield to block and punch them.

Two new playable characters are added this season, and they may be unlocked by doing certain game missions. Inspired by a real-life truck driver that Malik idolised, ChaCha TukTuk has been hardened by decades of driving his truck on the merciless roads of South Asia. He will stop at nothing to get revenge for his unjust imprisonment using the horrific art of fire and oil. Absynth is a femme-fatale who wears bionic metal armour and uses poisonous mixtures that are both seductive and deadly.

Players will be able to create their own fighter and style from a vastly enlarged marketplace with millions of additional cosmetic possibilities, like football pads, sushi chef gear, and outfits complete with a cuddly cat, in addition to hero characters.

Season 1 has 126 new items, 10 distinct levels, and five skill sets that may be upgraded over time. There isn’t a location component in the game. Malik thinks it makes sense to use elements like characters, music, and ads to appeal to younger consumers.
